Pro/ Con Essay Draft

My groups proposition is whether to teach teenagers all the ways of teen pregnancy. I am in favor of teaching teens because I believe they have the right to receive such knowledge. Shouldn't teens know how to protect themselves from such harm?

Teaching teens is a good way to educate students on the dangers in having sex at such an early age If a teen age couple were to have sexual intercourse, they should be educated to know about how to raise a baby, and what emotional/physical obstacles they will be facing.

With the education of all the ways of teen pregnancy, hopefully teens out there will think twice about having sexual intercourse. But if a couple were to have sexual intercourse anyways, they will be educated to use a condom for guys, and sign up for birth control pills for girls.

With teens being equipped with knowledge of teen pregnancy, they will be able to prevent pregnancy at a higher percentage. In my opinion, I believe that teaching all the ways of teen pregnancy will make teen couples think before taking the steps into teen pregnancy.

college essay

The college i choose was Heald University. I choose Heald College because they have a good business program, and a pretty good reputation. I plan to get my bachelors degree at first and then pursue my career as a businessmen. I pretty much have my mind set on what I want and I can achieve my goals at Heald College. Another reason would be that Heald is located on the island of Oahu, keeping me close to home, just how I like it.

This college will help me strive my goals in my business career. Some of my short term goals would be to accumulate over 400 dollars in the next three to six months. Once I achieve this goal I will strive for over 1000 dollars and so forth. By attending Heald, they could provide me the infomation i need to achieve higher goals such as making 20,000-100,000 dollars a year annually. By attending classes at Heald I can learn the aspects and background of what it takes to be a businessman.

Heald is like a private college which would be a good environment for me, in hopes it will keep me focused. Being in a focused environment will help me strive in my business career to the fullest.

Comming of Age draft

I dislike most of the good things that my mother has tried to get me into over the years. At an early age, my mom signed me up for swimming lessons at the Liliha swimming school. I made it up to the shark level and dropped out because I was forced to do it. I was enrolled in Kumon and Wiz Kids for Math and English for a few months and of course, the essence of dropping out was there, and so I did.

My father put me into dance classes at Nix Pac with my cousins Caitlyn, Christen, Jessie, and Jennifer, but this time around, my parents pulled me out after a few years of dancing. My mom made me do track for four years in a row with Mid Pac and Punahou. I loved track until I started to injure my tendons and got tired of practice, leading me to dropping out once again. My mom also enrolled me in the defensive martial art of Aikido with my cousin Zachary. We both put out about a year with Aikido and both decided to drop out of it because we felt that we weren't learning a whole lot.

As you can see, I dropped out at variety of things, being unable to be committed to anything. After all this dropping out of things, I finally found something that I really enjoy doing and have a huge interest for, that being Amway! My good friend Christian Ibanez introduced me to Amway, and he is now my sponsor. Its funny how we came into the conversation of Amway because we were talking about what we do in our lives and he so happen to mention being in the Amway business.

I was interested in making money so I asked for more details, and so I got it. I have went to Amway meetings, and met millionaires from all over the world at the Hawaii Convention Center. I also got a shake two of the millionaires hands, making me feel so good inside. I have been in Amway for a few months now, and I am starting to enjoy what this business really has to offer. I understand the pay out system much better now that I didn't know before. I am also learning how to talk to strangers and getting to know them better in the process of being in this business.

My mother and Father are great supporters of me joining this organization, giving me much confidence. Finding this business was a really good thing for me and I find this my proof of coming of age, considering that I did everything myself, and I asked to join this business instead of being forced into it. So far I am doing good, and I plan on striving further with Amway.

Re-do Pros and Cons article

link: http://uspolitics.about.com/od/gaymarriage/a/status_N04.htm

Proposition: Allowing Gay marriage in America. I believe that gay marriage should be allowed because everyone should have the chance of equal rights no matter what sex they are attracted too.

Article on Controversial topic summary

The governor of Hawaii, Linda Lingle vetoed a bill, granting gay and lesbian couples marriages the same rights and benefits that the state provides to married couples. Hawaii was almost the sixth state to allow same-sex marriage. An average of 60% from a feedback of 34,000 asked her to veto the measure.
My proposition would be to grant gay and lesbian couples the same benefits as a traditional marriage. I find that everyone deserves a chance of equal opportunity.

What Makes A Good Sci-Fi?

What makes a good Sci-Fi are the factors such as the actors, scientifical breakthroughs, and technology. Many essences bring into a great Sci-Fi such as: storyboards, lighting, and good sound quality. The storyboard helps to organize the movie that we are showing the audience, and inables them to understand the storyline. Lighting can be a huge assest when projecting a certain scene with a specific effect. Good sound quality is always good so that the audiences' attention is attacted to the movie that is being presented. All of the above makes a good Sci-Fi.

"The trees I Swing" - Journal #28

So many trees
So many vines
all this confusion, makes me whine
different choices, many voices
what do I do, and so i flew
through the forest, as if Chuck Norris
such curiousity
at a high velocity
my monkey genes
aren't as low as it seems
as I eat my banana
I follow my dreams

Journal #27

I would like to compare myself to a monkey because I am adventurous and a very curious person, just like Curious George. When I'm bored and need something to do, I start to do things out of the ordinary or something new. I love trying new things and having different experiences. When it comes to fun, I'm the person you would need. Monkeys are playful animals which i can very much relate to. Sadly, i can't swing on trees. If i see something i want to try or do, I'll go for it and try my best at doing it. Curiosity kicks in when i see something that i haven't seen or done ever in my life.

Journal #25: "My Vocabulary History"

My strong points would be expressing my vocabulary while telling one of my personal expirences. My weak points would maybe be using words in the right place and speech. I have studied vocabulary by spelling tests, and vocabulary work books in school. The "Reading Circle" group activities has helped me in certain ways in word choice, and different styles of word choice. I personally learn new words by reading, and studying them over and over again to get them stuck on my head. I learned the word conspiracy and i looked in the dictionary to find the true meaning of the word. My vocabulary/word choice goals would be to learn new words and be able to use them correctly in my writings. I would like to learn atleast "25" new words this semester to increase my vocabulary. My evidence would be to use those words in my future writings for a class assignment.

An Explosive Memory (Journal #20)

New Years Eve is always a joyful moment for me. The aroma from the burning fireworks are always to be expected. My family and I bought ariels and many fireworks to pop on this day. Adrenaline rushing through my veins gives me pure happiness and a perfect mood for fun. Soon as it was 12 'o clock, everyone embraces and hugs each other with love and care, knowing that we have a new spectacular year ahead of us.  In the end we all end up sleeping comfortably in our beds thinking about what this year has in store for the future.
